What's in The Santa Map?

The Santa Map takes a new approach to an ancient subject: Santa Claus. The wintertime gift-giver has had many names over the years, and today takes a variety of forms around the globe. The Santa Map includes three sections:

1. The World of Santa Claus: a world map that shows where Santa Claus in his many guises is welcomed, and speculates on his delivery route circling the earth.

2. Visions of Santa Claus: Stories and pictures illustrating the evolution of Santa's image and personality

3. Santa Claus: An Unauthorized Biography: Running along the bottom of both sides of the map, an illustrated time line tracing the evolution of Santa and his related winter gift-bringers over more than 10,000 years.

Along with dozens of illustrations, there are are over ten charts, tables and small maps helping to clarify the complex details of Santa's past and present, from a list of Santa's appearance in 20th-century pop culture, to a dissection of a traditional Christmas stocking.

The map was written and designed with both children and adults in mind, and is full of entertaining and informative text and pictures for young and old, put together by award-winning writers, designers and cartographers for you, your family and friends.
